Menengai Oilers beat Strathmore Leos by twenty four points to twelve to win the Christie Sevens at the RFUEA Grounds on Sunday, while KCB took the National Sevens Circuit title after both of the season's leading clubs were beaten in the semi finals.
The Oilers had lost their last four circuit finals before Sunday. Glacious Owino and Chrispine Shitundo were among their try scorers in the 60th edition of the Christie.

How KCB won the circuit
KCB went into the last leg on 98 points, six ahead of Kabras Sugar on 92, with the overall title still open to either. Both were beaten in the semi finals, Strathmore knocking KCB out, so neither of them reached the final.
KCB then settled it in the playoff for third place, beating Kabras and taking the circuit crown with it. They collected Ksh300,000 as overall champions, with Kabras second and the Oilers third in the standings.
What comes next for Kenyan sevens
The domestic circuit is now finished for 2026 and attention moves to the Safari Sevens in Nairobi from 9 to 11 October, then to the SVNS 2 season in which Shujaa are competing. The Kenya Cup, the fifteens competition, starts in late November.
For clubs, the weeks after the circuit are when squads change. The Kenya Rugby Union has run a mid season transfer window in December in recent seasons, and signings, releases and coaching moves tend to be announced across that break.
