The Zambian Premier League has confirmed that the 2026 Transition League will kick off on 12 September and run through to December.
The competition sits at the centre of the move to a new football calendar that carries the domestic game toward a full 2027 season. According to the ZPL, the MTN Super League will be split into two streams. Clubs are placed by their final standings in the 2025/2026 table, then separated into odd and even positions.
