Champions Orlando Pirates began the defence of their title at home to fellow newcomers Milford FC, while Mamelodi Sundowns, the bookmakers’ favourites for another crown, eased into the campaign. Two promoted clubs, Kruger United and Milford, are getting their first taste of life among the big names.
