Chipolopolo midfielder Kings Kangwa has completed a move to Greek giants Panathinaikos from Hapoel Beer Sheva in a deal reported at 3.8 million euros.
The Kasama-born playmaker has signed with the Athens club until June 2030, and the fee can rise to 4.5 million euros with performance add-ons. It marks the biggest step yet in a career that has carried him from Zambian football to Russia, Serbia and Israel, and now to one of Greece’s most decorated sides.
Kangwa earned the switch on merit. He was named Israeli Footballer of the Year for 2026 after a 12-goal campaign for Hapoel Beer Sheva, driving them near the top of the table and standing out in continental fixtures.
